Short Story is a Melbourne-based home and giftwares brand, established in 2010, with the mission to share unique and meaningful gifts with a story.

The most loved collections are their collaborations with Disney, Star Wars, and Harry Potter. Products are distributed through online retail and major retailers Myer, David Jones, EB Games, and Zing Pop Culture.

Enchant your world, discover magic, awaken nostalgia and be inspired by your favourite Disney stories. Short Story has collaborated with Disney to bring you an enchanted limited edition collection of art and storytelling. Our favourite moments are captured in timeless pieces of art, dreamy fragrances and whimsical gifts. Each inspiring our own happily ever after story.

Disney Princess was the first licensed release by Short Story in 2019, it was then followed up with another release featuring different princesses in 2020. This time, Short Story wanted to experiment with a mini range for more of a luxe feel. Our range of candles and diffusers got bigger and better exuding royalty in their pink velvet packaging!

This collection was launched in time for Disney's Ultimate Princess Celebration marketing intiative. We designed a concise launch strategy to suit this mini launch.

A Mini Launch with Not-So-Mini Results

- Initiated campaign with coming soon and countdown teasers

- We went live on Instagram to promote the range and engage with fans more casually

- Leveraged new and existing Disney Princess influencers to spread word about this range

- Collaborated with influencers in creating content for our paid channels

- Collaborated with Disney in joint Instagram giveaways, becoming the best performing giveaways across both accounts

THE RESULTS

The Disney x Short Story Princess Deluxe collection converted $104,122.77 in sales revenue in Q4 2021. This was our highest-grossing Disney Princess range ever, despite being an experimental mini launch. There was a 70% revenue growth when compared with our previous Disney Princess range in Q2 2020.
